Every Brabus Starts From a Named Mercedes Series
We work out the base car before anything else. Brabus lists its programmes for Mercedes-Benz by series: the A-Class W 177, the S-Class W 223, the Maybach Z 223, the GLS X 167 and the G-Class as both W 463A and W 465, among others. Its 800 Superblack, for one, is built on the W 465 Mercedes-AMG G 63.
Whatever the badge on the tailgate says, the battery type, its position and the way it is reached all belong to that base car. That is the specification the replacement is matched to.

Changing the Battery on a W 465 Based Brabus
Base Confirmed
W 465 G 63 underneath, so the 12 V AGM is in the boot and the 48 V battery is left alone.
Boot Floor Up
Luggage out, four tie-down eyes unscrewed, floor panel lifted to reach the 12 V battery.
AGM Exchanged
Negative cable released at its screw connection first, then the old AGM out and the new one in.
Panel Down, Engine On
Floor panel and tie-down eyes refitted, engine started, display read for battery messages.

Mercedes Brabus Battery Questions
The one its Mercedes-Benz base was built with. Brabus names the series each build starts from, and the battery type, position and access all follow that car. A Brabus on a W 465 G 63 takes the 12 V AGM that Mercedes-Benz fits under the boot floor of that model.
It depends on the G underneath. On a W 465 or W 463A base, the 12 V battery is under the boot floor. On a W 463 built from December 2000 to 2018, it is under the cabin floor between the front and rear seats. We confirm the base before we arrive.
The Brabus 800 Superblack is built on the W 465 Mercedes-AMG G 63, and on that base Mercedes-Benz shows a 48 V lithium-ion battery behind the boot's side trim as well as a 12 V AGM under the boot floor. The battery we replace is the 12 V AGM.
On a W 465 or W 463A base it helps. The 12 V battery is reached by lifting the boot floor panel, which on the W 465 means unscrewing four tie-down eyes first. Clearing the boot before we arrive saves time, and everything goes back exactly as it was when the job is done.
Replacement starts from AED 175 fitted. The figure for your car depends on the battery its Mercedes base takes, which on a W 465 base is a 12 V AGM. Every new battery we fit is covered by our 1-year warranty, wherever in Dubai the car is parked.
