Conventional flooded
Common in older and simpler cars. Checked for leaks first; one that is leaking or low on electrolyte is replaced, not jumped.
A click at the key and a dark dashboard usually means a flat battery. A technician with a professional jump pack reaches you in under 30 minutes, starts the engine and tests the battery and the alternator before leaving, so you know whether the car will start again tomorrow. Flooded, EFB, AGM or hybrid, each battery is jumped the way its maker sets out.
Heat, not cold, is what wears a car battery out here. It speeds up the chemistry that wears the plates: every 8°C above 25°C halves the life of a sealed lead-acid battery, and July afternoons in Dubai average above 40°C.
A worn battery still starts the engine on a mild morning, then fails after a day in a hot car park or a few weeks of standing while you travel. Left flat for days, it also loses capacity for good, so call the same day. A car jumpstart gets you moving, and the test that follows tells you whether the battery has another summer in it.

A technician comes to you, 24/7.
Sorted on the spot or towed where you need.
Tell us what the car does when you turn the key, and we know before setting off whether a jump will help:
| What you notice | Likely cause | Will a jump help? |
|---|---|---|
| Clicking, dim dashboard, engine will not turn | Flat battery | Usually, yes |
| No lights or sound at all | Fully drained battery or a loose, corroded terminal | Often, once the terminal is cleaned |
| Starts after a jump, dead again days later | A battery that no longer holds charge, or a drain on it | Only to get you moving; the battery needs testing |
| Battery warning light stays on while driving | Alternator or charging fault | No, the charging system needs checking |
| Engine turns over normally but will not fire | Fuel or ignition fault | No |
| Swollen case, leaks or a rotten-egg smell | Overcharged or damaged battery | No, it is replaced, not jumped |
Tell us the make and model when you call, and the technician arrives ready for the battery your car carries.

The enhanced flooded battery in entry-level start-stop cars. It takes a jump in the normal way, and its replacement is another EFB or an AGM.
Fitted to cars with advanced start-stop and brake-energy recovery. It takes a jump in the normal way, and it is only ever replaced with another AGM.
Many BMW and Volkswagen-group start-stop cars track their battery through a sensor. A jump changes nothing there; a new battery has to be registered to the car, and we explain at booking how that is handled.
A hybrid starts from its small 12V battery, not the drive pack, and takes a jump at the terminal its manual names, often under the bonnet when the battery sits in the boot. It must never be used to jump another car.
Electric cars and some hybrids run a lithium low-voltage battery. Some hybrids wake theirs with a reset button, and an electric car takes a low-voltage supply at its jump posts. Neither should ever be used to jump another car.
Open 24/7 across Dubai. The price is agreed on the phone first.
The case, terminals and cables are checked for cracks, swelling and leaks. A damaged battery is never jumped; it is replaced.
Positive to positive first. The last clamp goes on bare metal or the chassis ground point, away from the battery, because a battery gives off hydrogen and the final connection can spark.
Once the engine runs, the clamps come off in the reverse order they went on.
The battery and the charging output are tested with the engine running, and you hear whether the battery can be trusted, needs replacing soon, or the fault lies elsewhere.
A jumpstart starts from AED 99, and the price is agreed on the phone before anyone sets off. These are the things that decide it:
A car in a central district is reached quickly. A remote site or a long highway stretch on the edge of Dubai adds travel time.
Large petrol V8s and diesel 4x4s draw far more current when cranking than a small hatchback, and some need a higher-capacity booster.

A battery too far gone to hold a charge will not last after a jump. A new one can be fitted on the spot, from AED 175 fitted with a 1-year warranty, and is priced separately.

A full charging-system check, or tracing a drain that flattens the battery overnight, is added only if you ask for it.

Book a free battery test before summer, not after the first failure.
Leaving the car for weeks? Disconnect the battery, since alarms and modules keep drawing current while it stands.
Keep the terminals clean and tight; white or green corrosion blocks current.
Switch off lights, cabin lamps and chargers before you lock up.
If a battery needed a jump twice in a month, have it tested; that is rarely bad luck.
Under 30 minutes in most cases, depending on traffic and where the car is parked. Share your location pin on WhatsApp or call with the street or car park name, and the technician sets off as soon as the price is agreed on the phone. There is no call-out fee.
A jump gets the engine running; it does not repair a battery that can no longer hold a charge. The test after the start shows which you have. If it needs replacing, a new battery can be fitted on the spot from AED 175 with a 1-year warranty, and the old one is taken away for recycling.
Not when it is done correctly. Damage comes from a booster above 12 volts, clamps on the wrong posts or leads touching. We use a 12-volt supply only, connect in the order the car's manual sets, and put the final clamp on a chassis ground away from the battery.
Yes. EFB and AGM batteries take a jump in the normal way. If the battery then needs replacing, an AGM is only replaced with an AGM, and an EFB with an EFB or an AGM. Many BMW and Volkswagen-group cars also need the new battery registered, and we explain at booking how that is handled.
Yes, through its 12V battery or the jump terminal its manual names, which is often under the bonnet when the battery sits in the boot. The high-voltage pack is never touched. A hybrid must not be used to jump another car, so the technician always brings a jump pack of our own.
Yes, through its low-voltage battery, the small 12V or lithium battery that wakes the car. A low-voltage supply goes on the jump posts the manual names, and the drive battery is never touched. An electric car must never be used to jump another vehicle, so tell us the model when you call.
Not straight away. Starting took charge out of the battery, and the alternator needs driving time to put it back, so plan a proper drive rather than a short hop. Before leaving, the technician tests the battery and tells you whether it will restart the car on its own.
Then the battery is not the whole story. We test the charging system, the starter and the connections, tell you what we found, and give you the options: a new battery fitted on the spot, a repair, or a tow to the garage you choose, each priced before any work starts.
No. There is no membership or subscription to buy first. You call when you need help, hear the price on the phone before anyone sets off, and pay only for the service you use: a jumpstart starts from AED 99, with no call-out fee on top.
Yes. Technicians work 24/7, every day of the year, including nights, weekends and public holidays such as Eid. Nothing changes at night: you share the location, hear the price on the phone, and a technician with a jump pack sets off to reach you in under 30 minutes.
More than 20 mobile vans work across Dubai. For a battery call, a technician reaches you in about 25 minutes. The vans cover Al Karama, Dubai South, Business Bay, Downtown Dubai, office car parks, villa communities and highways.
Tell Battery Change Dubai where the car is and what it does when you turn the key, and a technician with a jump pack and a tester will be on the way.
