Four Fiamm Car Ranges, Matched to Your Car
- ecoFORCE AGMSealed AGM for start-stop cars that run a lot of electronics, and for the 12V battery in many hybrid and electric cars. Fiamm rates its cycle endurance at three times that of an ordinary lead-calcium battery.
- ecoFORCE AFBFiamm's enhanced flooded battery for standard start-stop, the one other makers call EFB. Twice the cycle resistance of a conventional battery, in European and Japanese case sizes.
- TITANIUM PROMade in Italy for cars with no start-stop, in the European DIN cases most of them use. Calcium grids on both plates keep water loss so low it is never topped up.
- black TITANIUMMaintenance-free flooded battery for everyday cars, in European and Japanese (JIS) cases, with a charge indicator on the JIS models.

Same Technology In, Same Technology Out
We replace like with like: AGM with ecoFORCE AGM, EFB or AFB with ecoFORCE AFB. A conventional flooded battery cannot take the constant restarts of a start-stop system and wears out early, so we never fit one as a cheaper swap.
For a hybrid's or an electric car's 12V battery, Fiamm recommends AGM. Where the carmaker fitted another technology, the replacement keeps to the original. Some start-stop cars expect a new battery to be registered, and we explain at booking how that is handled for your car.

What the Codes on a Fiamm Label Mean
12V 70Ah 760A EN: voltage, capacity at the 20-hour rate, and cold cranking amps to the EN standard
W1 to W5: water consumption, with W2 or higher counting as maintenance-free
C1 or C2: how well the battery holds its charge while parked; every start-stop battery reaches C2
V1 to V4: resistance to vibration
E1 to E4: endurance through charge and discharge cycles, where E1 is the level for an ordinary car battery
M1 to M3: start-stop micro-cycle performance, where an AGM must reach M3
A TITANIUM PRO reads W3 C2 V2 E1, an ecoFORCE AFB W3 C2 V2 M1 and an ecoFORCE AGM W5 C2 V2 M3. We check those codes on the battery coming out, so the new one matches or beats it.

Fiamm's replacement batteries come off the same lines as the batteries it supplies to carmakers, run to the IATF 16949 automotive quality standard.

Yes, under the name AFB, for Advanced Flooded Battery. The ecoFORCE AFB is the direct replacement for an EFB from any brand in a standard start-stop car.
Yes. The ecoFORCE AFB and black TITANIUM ranges come in Japanese case sizes such as D23, D26 and D31, as well as European DIN sizes. We match the case, terminal side and cranking amps to your car.

No. Every Fiamm car range is maintenance-free to the EN 50342 standard. The AGM is sealed, and the flooded ranges hold enough electrolyte for their whole working life.
