No battery is sold before the test. On the 2024 GV80 and G80, both owner's manuals place the AGM battery in the cargo area rather than under the bonnet, and the 2024 G90 manual puts its battery in the luggage compartment.
For a jump start, the same manuals point to a jumper terminal in the engine compartment, with the negative lead on the black chassis ground. That is how a flat GV80 or G80 is brought back to life while its battery is tested.

Jump Leads on a GV80 or G80 Go Under the Bonnet
Genesis is specific about one mistake. The 2024 GV80 and G80 manuals warn against connecting the jumper cable to the negative (-) jumper terminal of the discharged battery, because a spark could cause the battery to explode. The negative clamp belongs on the black chassis ground instead.

Idle Stop and Go Returns Once the Sensor Is Calibrated
The 2024 GV80 and G80 manuals say Idle Stop and Go will not work straight after the AGM battery is reconnected or replaced. Their calibration routine for the battery sensor:
Engine off
Switch the engine off and leave the car parked.
Unplug the extras
Disconnect devices added after delivery, such as a dashcam or a navigation unit.
Wait four hours
Leave the engine off for 4 hours.
Three or four starts
Turn the engine on and off 3 to 4 times, and the system can work again.

What the 2024 manuals ask once the car is running again, whether or not a new battery follows:
Keep the engine running for at least 30 minutes after the jump start
Allow up to 60 minutes if the battery was completely discharged
