Locks and boot
Unlock and lock the doors once with the key fob, then cycle the boot lid fully.
Italian · Luxury SportsDay or night, we come to your Maserati, check the battery free of charge and fit a new one there and then if it is beyond saving. The 2024 Ghibli carries its battery in the boot, with a sensor on the negative post, and its owner's manual sets out a routine for when power comes back, from the parking brake to a 30-second throttle relearn. Our technician completes it with you before leaving.

We open the boot rather than the bonnet. In the 2024 Ghibli owner's manual, the battery sits on the inner right side of the boot, under the floor covering and an access cover with a release latch. An Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS) on the negative post measures charge and discharge to work out the battery's state of charge and health.
For the Levante, Quattroporte, GranTurismo and the rest of the range, we look at the car itself, so both the battery chosen and the route to it come from that particular Maserati.

First the boot goes up and each window drops a few centimetres, and they stay like that until the fresh battery is wired in, sparing the glass and seals when a door opens.
If the boot does get locked with no power, the manual's way in is the emergency release lever, reached by folding the rear seatback.
A vent hose runs from the Ghibli's battery, so the new unit is a vented design like the original and the hose is clipped back on.
Negative off before positive, and never while the engine runs.

The 2024 Ghibli owner's manual lists these steps for every reconnection, and a driver can do each one.
Unlock and lock the doors once with the key fob, then cycle the boot lid fully.
Switch on the climate control and press AUTO to initialise it, then set the date and time.
Lift, release and lift again the lever behind the gear selector. The warning light and radar messages clear at the next key cycle.
Press the mirror tilt button on the driver's door at least once so the approach lights work again.
Turn the ignition to RUN and wait at least 30 seconds before starting the engine.
With the engine running, steer fully left and then fully right until the power steering warning goes out.

Our free test tells a run-down battery from a failed one, because a Ghibli left in a car park can need a charge rather than a Maserati battery replacement. The 2024 manual warns that a battery kept below 50% charge for long is damaged by sulfation.
It names the two patterns to watch: daily trips of about 16 km, and a week or more without driving. For both it recommends a battery charger with a constant voltage below 14.0 V and no more than 15 A, or a check and recharge at least every three weeks.

WhatsApp Battery Change Dubai; a technician checks the current battery, fits its replacement if needed and completes the reset routine at the car.
More than 20 mobile vans work across Dubai. For a battery call, a technician reaches you in about 25 minutes. The vans cover Al Karama, Dubai South, Business Bay, Downtown Dubai, office car parks, villa communities and highways.
In the boot. The 2024 Ghibli owner's manual places it on the inner right side, under the boot floor covering and an access cover you open by turning its release latch. Jump leads clip to posts under the bonnet, so a jump-start leaves the boot shut.
The electric power steering needs recalibrating once power returns. The 2024 Ghibli manual says to start the engine and steer fully to the left and then to the right, after which the warning light and message should clear. We run that step, and the rest of the reset routine, before handing the car back.
Through the remote posts in the engine compartment, marked on the integrated power module. The 2024 manual rules out any booster above 14 volts and says never to use a battery charger for emergency starting. It also advises having the battery and charging system inspected if jump-starts become frequent, which our free test covers.
Red to the positive post, black to the nut next to the negative post, so current passes through the IBS sensor. The 2024 manual says a charge only works properly along that path, since the sensor works out charge level and battery health from what flows through it.
With power on, the Ghibli drops each window slightly as a door opens. Without power it cannot, so the 2024 manual says to open the boot and lower the windows a few centimetres first, keeping them there until the charged battery is back, to avoid damaging the seals and glass.
