Kona Hybrid: reset, not replace
The 2025 manual says its 12-volt battery is lithium-ion, built into the hybrid battery, and does not need periodic replacement. A 12V BATT RESET button by the steering wheel brings it back.
Korean · Everyday & SUVA technician tests your Hyundai's battery in the driveway, at the office or in a mall car park anywhere in Dubai, 24/7, and replaces it only if it has failed. Share the model and year when booking: on a Tucson, Santa Fe, Kona or Creta with Idle Stop and Go, the manual adds a battery sensor routine after any AGM change, and we leave you with it before we go.

Every Hyundai carries its battery's details on the label, and that is what the replacement is matched to. The 2024 Santa Fe manual illustrates an AGM70L-DIN label: 12 volts, 70 Ah, a reserve capacity of 120 minutes and 750 A cold cranking. Hyundai notes that the label in your car may differ, so we read the one you have.
Not every model uses the same type. The 2025 Tucson manual describes a maintenance-free, calcium-based battery, with an AGM battery where the car is equipped with one.

Once an AGM battery has been disconnected or swapped, Idle Stop and Go stays off until the battery sensor is calibrated. The 2025 Tucson, 2024 Santa Fe, 2025 Creta and 2026 Kona manuals give the same routine, and we hand it over with the car.
| Stage | What you do | From the manual |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Switch the engine off | The routine starts with the engine off |
| 2 | Unplug add-on electronics | Devices fitted after delivery, such as navigation or a dashcam |
| 3 | Wait 4 hours | The engine stays off for the whole time |
| 4 | Start and stop the engine 3 to 4 times | The sensor is then calibrated |
The same manuals list a weak battery, an ISG fault and low brake vacuum pressure as reasons ISG may not operate.
On an ISG car, a Hyundai battery replacement starts with what the manual asks for. The 2025 Tucson manual says to use only a genuine Hyundai AGM battery, or ISG may not operate properly, while the 2024 Santa Fe manual allows a genuine Hyundai approved battery or the equivalent specified for the vehicle.
Give us the model, year and the code on the battery label at booking, and we confirm which battery we will fit before a technician leaves. Both manuals also recommend an authorised Hyundai dealer for AGM battery service, which we mention at booking. They say to charge an AGM battery only on a fully automatic charger made for AGM, and the Tucson's warns that a general charger may damage or explode it.

The 2025 manual illustrates an MF60L-DIN 12-volt battery. Its Aux. Battery Saver+ tops it up from the high voltage battery but cannot help one that is worn out.
The 2025 Tucson manual asks for 20 to 30 minutes of driving; the 2024 Santa Fe and 2025 Ioniq 5 manuals say at least 30, and up to 60 for a completely dead battery.
Battery Change Dubai checks your Hyundai's battery in the driveway or car park, day and night, and fits a matched replacement only when the old one has failed.
More than 20 mobile vans work across Dubai. For a battery call, a technician reaches you in about 25 minutes. The vans cover Al Karama, Dubai South, Business Bay, Downtown Dubai, office car parks, villa communities and highways.
If it has Idle Stop and Go, it does: the 2025 Tucson manual ties ISG to an AGM battery and asks for a genuine Hyundai AGM unit when it is replaced. Tucsons without an AGM battery use a maintenance-free calcium battery. One look at the existing battery's label settles which type your car takes.
Hyundai's manuals say ISG stays inactive for a while once an AGM battery has been swapped or refitted. Switch the engine off, unplug add-on devices such as a dashcam, wait 4 hours, then start and stop the engine 3 to 4 times. If it still stays off, a weak battery is one cause the manual names.
Use a fully automatic charger designed for AGM batteries and nothing else, as the 2025 Tucson and 2024 Santa Fe manuals both say. The Tucson's adds that a general battery charger may damage or even explode an AGM battery. If yours keeps going flat, a free test shows whether it is run down or no longer holding a charge.
Usually it does not need replacing. The 2025 Kona Hybrid manual says its 12-volt battery is lithium-ion, built into the hybrid battery, with no periodic replacement. When it runs down, you press the 12V BATT RESET button, start the car within 30 seconds and keep driving to recharge it.
Fitted prices start from AED 175. Your Hyundai's figure follows the battery its label specifies, an AGM unit on an ISG car for example, and it is agreed by phone before a technician drives out. There is no charge for testing the old battery, and our 1-year warranty backs the replacement.
