Four Things a 2025 QX80 Does After a Battery Change
Each comes from the 2025 QX80 owner's manual, with the fix it gives. None means the new battery is faulty.
4WD shows AUTO instead of 4H: if AUTO keeps blinking, press the brake pedal and select N.
Camera course lines look wrong: turn the wheel lock to lock with the engine running, then drive straight for over 5 minutes.
Idling Stop takes a while to come back after a battery is replaced.
Headlight System Error after a jump start: switch off, open and close the driver's door, wait about 3 minutes, restart.
QX60, QX50 and QX55: Windows and Seat Memory
On a 2025 QX60, 2024 QX50 or 2025 QX55, the manual warns that the power window auto-reverse may not work properly after the battery is disconnected, replaced or jump started. The QX60 manual gives a routine you can do yourself; the QX50 and QX55 manuals send the re-initialisation to an Infiniti retailer.
Seat memory positions are lost too. To bring back the entry and exit function on a QX50 or QX55, drive above 40 km/h, or open and close the driver's door more than twice with the ignition off. We run through it at the end of every Infiniti battery replacement.

The 2025 QX80 manual says the 4WD position may change from 4H to AUTO when the battery is disconnected. If AUTO keeps blinking after reconnection, press the brake pedal and select N, and the blinking stops. Check the selected mode before you drive, especially before heading onto sand or a rough track.
The 2025 QX80 manual explains that the predictive course lines may show in the wrong place after a disconnected or flattened battery. With the engine running, turn the steering wheel from lock to lock, then drive on a straight road for more than 5 minutes. The QX60 and Q50 manuals give the same fix.
