Japanese · SUV & PickupMitsubishi drivers get a free battery check where they parked and, when it fails, a replacement there and then, chosen from the type printed on the old battery. Cars with Auto Stop & Go take a dedicated AS&G battery, two-battery versions of the Shogun Sport have both changed together, and a flat Outlander PHEV is jumped through the rescue terminal in its fuse box, as Mitsubishi's manual sets out.

Wherever the Mitsubishi stands, an Attrage in a tower car park or an L200 on a site, the van comes to it. Testing comes first, the price is settled by phone, and the old battery goes off to be recycled.
The label decides what goes back in. Mitsubishi's 2020 manual for the 2.0-litre ASX lists a 75D23L battery, and a Q-85 on cars with Auto Stop & Go, so two cars of the same model can need different batteries.

On the 2020 ASX and L200, Mitsubishi says cars with Auto Stop & Go have a dedicated AS&G battery type, and that a different battery can run down quickly or stop the system working properly. The same manuals ask owners to contact a Mitsubishi authorised service point when replacing it.
On an AS&G car, a Mitsubishi battery replacement begins with the free test and that label, and at booking we explain how the job is handled. On two-battery versions, Mitsubishi's 2018 Shogun Sport and 2017 Shogun manuals ask for both batteries to be replaced at the same time, since changing one shortens the life of both.
The 2026 Outlander PHEV owner's manual sets out how its auxiliary battery is jump-started, and our technicians work to it.
Positive lead to the positive terminal under the rescue terminal cover in the fuse box
Negative lead to unpainted metal on the body, never to the auxiliary battery's negative terminal
A rescue vehicle with a 12V battery of the same capacity or more
No portable power supplies, mobile batteries or jump starters
No booster cables while the drive battery is charging

On the Outlander PHEV built from model year 2022, Mitsubishi's rescue sheet places the 12V auxiliary battery at the rear of the car and lists it as an L1 battery rated 50 Ah. The 2026 owner's manual warns that even a battery of the same model may not install correctly, and asks owners to have a Mitsubishi authorised service point replace it and charge it.
So on a PHEV our part is the rescue: we test the auxiliary battery, jump it through the rescue terminal so the car's systems come back on, and leave the replacement and charging with Mitsubishi.
The auxiliary battery charge warning lamp shows in red on the instrument panel.
With the auxiliary battery discharged, the drive battery cannot be charged at all.
If it runs out in P, the front wheels stay locked and the car cannot be moved without lifting them.

Mitsubishi's 2026 Outlander PHEV manual asks for its auxiliary battery to be replaced by a Mitsubishi authorised service point, because even a battery of the same model may not install correctly. Our part is the roadside rescue: a test, then a jump through the rescue terminal in the fuse box, so the car can be driven to that service point.
Mitsubishi says no. The manual rules out portable power supplies, mobile batteries and jump starters, since unstable voltage could leave the hybrid system unable to start. It calls for a rescue vehicle with a 12V battery of the same capacity or more, which is how our technician jumps it.
It needs a dedicated AS&G battery type. On the 2020 ASX and L200, Mitsubishi lists a Q-85 or T-110 for these cars and warns that another battery can run down quickly. We read the type from your fitted battery and explain at booking how the replacement on an AS&G car is handled.
Mitsubishi's 2018 Shogun Sport and 2017 Shogun manuals say that on vehicles with two batteries, both should be replaced at the same time, because changing only one shortens the life of the batteries. We test both on site and quote for the pair on the phone first.
Fitting is included from AED 175. Which battery your Mitsubishi takes, a 75D23L or a T-110 for example, decides the rest, and you get the figure by phone before we drive over. No call-out fee applies, testing costs nothing, and the battery we fit is warranted by us for 1 year.
